About a year ago, the Getting Hungary podcast interviewed author Allison Pataki, who is also an Ambassador for ReConnect Hungary a cultural and educational immersion experience—she is the face of the organization. Allison suggested I contact ReConnect Hungary to talk about the great programs they offer American and Canadian young to middle-aged adults of Hungarian Heritage, and she put me in touch with Petra Kovács who will discuss the organization and give an overview and information on how to find out more about signing up and participating in the summer programs they offer. These include the Birthright Program–a two-week program for young adults ages 18-28; ReConnect Hungary 29+ which is a one-week program for adults between 29 and 49; and the ReConnect Transylvania program–a week-long immersion program in Transylvania for people of any age. The Hungary programs take place in July with the optional ReConnect Transylvania trip beginning at the end of the Birthright Program (late July into August this year).
